Instructions for Oyster Shell
Offer oyster shell free-choice in a separate dish next to the feeder, never mixed into feed, so each hen can self-regulate intake. Thin, soft, or easily cracked eggshells are usually the first sign a flock needs more calcium; refill the dish sooner if that starts showing up.
Keep the dish topped off rather than rationing it, and store the bag in a cool, dry place.
