- FLOCK SIZE: 40 Pounds (198 Liters) expands to 7 Cubic Feet which will cover a 5' x 8' area with up to 2" of bedding. This is equivalent to up to 35 13" x 13" Nesting Boxes filled to 1". Compressed Packaging = 26" x 18" x 10".
- SAMPLE SIZE: 1 Pound (2.75 Liters) expands to .1 Cubic Feet which will cover one 13" x 13" Nesting Box with over 1 inch of bedding.
We highly recommend the larger size as the smaller bag is for samples.

I recently switched to using hemp bedding for my chicken coop, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. It's absorbent and dust free which I love!
Maybe this is how all hemp bedding smells as I've used pine until now, but wow is it earthy. It smells a bit like my basement when we have basement flooding. Of that, I'm not a fan.
But, it is definitely absorbing well and my chickens don't seem to mind the smell at all. It's pricier than pine, but I've been told it's a superior bedding when it comes to composting speeds, so I think I will mix it with pine and get the best of both worlds.
I used this in our brooder when our chicks were smaller and it never had a smell. I scooped out the **** weekly and was able to keep this bag in the brooder for a week before replacing it. My chicks loved it!
